SEAP recently wrapped up its support for the inaugural Our Dollars, Our Dreams community — New Orleans, LA. We assisted the Building Equity Collaborative in New Orleans for over a year in researching and refining an equity rubric and checklist for local infrastructure projects funded through federal resources. The Collaborative is working with city staff and council members to cement these equity principles into practice.
We captured learnings from this power building effort in a report that chronicles and synthesizes the work of the Building Equity Collaborative from 2022 through 2024. The report offers lessons learned and a roadmap for coalitions working to put equity front and center in funding discussions and decisions in their communities.
